Canon
Canon, originally named Precision Optical Instruments Laboratory, was founded in Japan in 1937. The company’s first significant product was the Kwanon, a prototype 35mm camera, in 1934. Over the decades, Canon became a pioneer in camera technology, launching the first SLR (Single-Lens Reflex) camera with an electronic shutter, the Canon AE-1, in 1976. Today, Canon continues to be a leading brand in photography, known for its innovative digital cameras, lenses, and imaging technology.
